Only one inzektor in top 32. o_O

EDIT : Lone top 32 T.Gs won the thing. Props to the guy (just 14yo) for beating the crap out of the 15 rabbits and the ~10 Wind Downs that lurked in the tops.

My comment on this:

As lame as the video is, it says it all:
1. 14 years of age.
2. 1st YCS
3. T.g
4. Budget deck.

Real feel good story.

EDIT: Video is stupid, guy is 16. Still though.

All I care about is top 32's Evolsaur guy =D

Weeeeellll, dino guy opened bunny-tour game 2 (for 2 laggia) + trapdustshoot, so you can't make an arguement that he din't draw well.

And come on, of all people you should appreciate a victory for stun decks (and decks that are not-so-meta).

Who cares about Evolsaur? There's an empty jar out there.

EDIT: YAY, I successfully split this into a new topic without making a mess.

Eeeeeeeeeeew, Empty Jar *washes hands*. But Evols, that's just awesome. I've seen good builds but it's nice to see someone actually top with them at a huge YCS.

Ofc I care about Stun victories, but this victory was just mere luck...A guy that doesn't even main veiler/maxx, still he wins a tournament plagued with Wind-Ups? Wtf did he won the dice roll every game? lol. Aaanyways. Finals were sacky as hell.

And Empty Jar? I couldn't care less about it, I have enough with wind-ups thank u ._.

Stun Decks rely on disruption. If you can start you don't need the all the teched disruption cards (Skill Drain/War Chariot usually do those jobs).

Are you forgetting that skill drain messes up pretty much every meta deck cept DW and maybe hero beat or somethin ._.

he doesnt need veiler or maxx c

not sure why hes not using fiendish chain tho

Sure, enter a tournament with an unteched stun deck, relying on winning the dice roll. Sounds like a plan... Still, he got lucky and won, good for him I guess.

Problem here is the loop. It's obvious that T.G. or any other stun could have the upperhand if they manage to survive turn 1.

Drains + Solemns are pretty much all you need. Other decks usually run Solemns + Chains to deal with Inzektors/WU.

Rj stop hating on da guy Very Happy, not all people can afford those 3 maxx_C. Luck or not, he did it without blowing his budget to buy a deck. If anything shame on all those kids who baught the wind-ups, rabbits, maxx_C's, tours and fell short.

With a stun deck vs wind-up, he mostly needed to survive the first turn without losing his hand (a splashable warwolf definately helps). I know, not an easy task at all without veiler and maxx.
Looks to me that his style of play was an aggressive "set your hand" style. Might have not been the ideal strategy with only 1 starlight, but seemed to have worked for him.

Not hatin on him at all actually. I always prefered to play stun and I'll never give up on it, so I'm on his side actually. All I said was he got lucky at the finals, REALLY lucky.

I can't believe none gives a shit about the evol guy Sad...add GAOV in a couple of months and the deck will go up a few more tiers.

Yup, warwolf is the key vs a wind-up loop.
